Let’s Make the Neighborhood Sparkle!
2nd Annual Horizon Hills Holiday Home Lighting & Decorating Contest
Vote December 11–20 · Winners announced Monday, December 21
Year Two of Our Neighborhood Light Show
Horizon Hills has some serious holiday talent, and this contest is my way of celebrating it. Neighbors put in the ladder time, the extension cords and the late nights untangling lights. The rest of us get to enjoy the show.
So grab the kids, leash up the dog, and take an evening walk or a slow drive through the neighborhood. Pick your favorites, then cast your vote. It takes less than a minute, and it means a lot to the families who made the season brighter for all of us.
Three Prizes Up for Grabs
$500
Best Overall Lighting Design
The showstopper. The house you slow down for. The winner takes home a $500 Home Depot gift card.
$100
Best Yard Design
For the front yard that tells a story, from the inflatables to the reindeer to the light-wrapped trees.
$100
Kid’s Favorite
The house that makes little faces light up. Ask your kids which one they loved most.
